The Gospel

The 1630 Project exists first and foremost, to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ in its biblical simplicity, to seek and save the lost,

But also, empowering the Church to better understand the depth of God’s grace and mercy we receive through the free gift of our salvation in the Lord Jesus.

Amongst believers and non-believers, the amount of confusion and fear stemming from how one ought to be saved (Acts: 16:30), or if it’s even possible to have assurance of one’s good standing before God, robs millions from experiencing the full liberating power of the Gospel every day.

Ephesians 1:17-20

“may the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him,

having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,

and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might

that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places,”

As part of this mission, we are also preparing to establish a local church in the Waynesville / Asheville, North Carolina area. Our desire is to build a Gospel-centered community devoted to being students of the Word, the teaching of sound doctrine, evangelism grounded in truth and love, and helping believers — both new and old — grow in full confidence of faith as they live the life the Lord has called them to this side of eternity.

Christian Zionism

The 1630 Project aims to challenge Christian Zionism within the Church, while also ensuring that the Church does not fall into an attitude of bigotry toward the Jewish people, but instead views them as it would any other religious or ethnic group in need of the Gospel message of the Lord Jesus.

Our position is simple:
Antisemitism, Jewish supremacy, and all forms of racism are abhorrent in the eyes of the Lord.

Matthew 3:8–9

“Bear fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not presume to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father,’ for I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children for Abraham.”

Romans 10:12–13

“For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For ‘everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’”

Acts 10:34–35

“Truly I understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.”

As a result of Christian Zionism, much of the Church has developed an unbiblical attitude of partiality toward Israel and the Jewish people, even giving rise to the dangerous idea that because of a supposed special covenantal standing before God, the Jewish people do not need to receive and believe in the Lord Jesus in order to be saved.

Similarly, this partiality has resulted in the Church ignoring the plight of our brothers and sisters in Christ within Israel, Gaza, and The West Bank.

We seek to help the church in Gaza, The West Bank, Israel, and the region in general, connect with Christians and the greater church abroad. In doing so, we are attempting to challenge the Church, especially in the US, to stand up as an advocate for our brothers and sisters in Christ facing persecution, as well as non-christian communities in need:

Matthew 5:7-9

“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.”

If you would like to learn more about our mission, partner with our family, or support the Lord’s work he has entrusted us with, we would love to connect with you in order to better proclaim the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ in boldness, compassion, so that many may hear, believe, and be saved.
